A Tesla vehicle caused a horrible accident - Did the passengers survive?

"Electric cars are the weakest vehicles ever. It is so dangerous to drive an electric car on the road!" This is certainly something some people would like to believe. Because of the selective nature of reports in the media, as well as the focus on negative and bad news over unbiased reports, some people may be concerned about buying a Tesla. Some preach they cannot cover you in a collision, will catch fire, accelerate on its own when you least expect it, and its Autopilot system might cause an accident.
While all of these things "might" happen, they're arguably not likely to happen any more often in a Tesla or any electric car than they are in a gasoline car. In fact, there's plenty of research that suggests EVs are less likely to catch fire, driver-assist systems save many more lives than they take, and sudden unintended acceleration is much more improbable than driver error.
Let’s talk a little more in-depth about Tesla’s safety in today’s episode of Tesla Fans

The Tesla Model 3 earned the 2019 Top Safety Pick+ award from the organization after achieving a "good" performance in all six IIHS crash tests. The National Highway Traffic Safety Association tests also show it to have the lowest chance of injury of any vehicle ever tested by the safety agency.
The accomplishment reflects a significant endorsement of Tesla's safety systems, which CEO Elon Musk has often touted. The Tesla Model S sedan was previously tested and performed very well.

Head restraints and seat testing is the next round. While death is the worst outcome that can result from a vehicle crash, neck sprains and strains, or “whiplash”, are the most frequently reported injury. Using a special BioRID test dummy that has a realistic spine, the IIHS affixes seats to a test sled. The test sled is then accelerated and decelerated to simulate what happens to a vehicle in a crash situation. The ultimate goal of the test is to simulate what happens with the restraint system when involved in a crash from being rear-ended, the most common collision type that causes neck injuries, and I should know, I’ve been rear-ended before; it’s not a pleasant experience.
And last but not least, the frontal crash prevention test. Vehicles undergo two forms of testing when determining their frontal crash prevention rating, the first at 12 mph and the second at 25 mph. Both tests reward vehicle points that are determined by how quickly it warns drivers of any impending impact.
