In terms of longevity, few bands can claim to have been in the music industry for as long as the German hard rock band Bonfire. The group originated back in 1972 under the name Cacumen. After seven years of working together and two albums, the band signed to BMG Records, making it clear that their name was difficult to pronounce and not sold. After a short brainstorming session, the band decided to rename themselves Bonfire.
