As the first tournament series during the Covid-19 pandemic, the Düsseldorf Masters, continues with its 10th edition, the outcome of the draw put two players from the ttspieler community in the same match in Round of 16: Cedric Meissner and Daniel Rinderer. Apart from these two players, there were two more players from the ttspieler community.

It was unfortunate for them to be drawn against each other. Still, this was the most exciting match of the first day. Especially 18-year old Daniel played very well! It’s a shame that he could not use his match points in the sixth game. On the other hand, Cedric seems to have nerves of steel: With his back against the wall, he broke through and somehow still managed to win this match - awesome! This was the last Düsseldorf Masters tournament with youth players but hopefully, the German Table Tennis Association tries something new so that there still will be tournaments!
