Coronavirus infects more than 1000 at German meat-processing plant

In northwest Germany, in the town of Gütersloh, there are now more than a thousand people who've tested positive for coronavirus at a Tönnies meat processing plant, up from just over 800 a day before. Most of the workers are from Romania and Bulgaria, who live in cramped accommodations provided by the company. The outbreak is among several reported at German slaughterhouses in recent months.
