The Centre for Digital Built Britain has been championing the development of digital twins, helping to push the boundaries on the art of the possible and challenge established thinking. Within this talk, James Harris will be walking us through the potential blockers to developing a digital twin and how these may be overcome. He will also discuss the need for effective information management, from standards to guidance and onto the concept of ‘commons’. He’ll walk us through the constraints and how the team are navigating them.

He'll relate this back to a project delivery context and provide insights into the experience gained by the team to date and how this can be applied within projects.

James Harris is Chief Executive and Head of Digital Practice of Turner Harris, and the Stream Lead for the Enablers component of the National Digital Twin Programme. In his role at Turner Harris, James works with organisations across the public and private sector to understand the implications of, and to navigate technology-led change and shifts in national policy. He is a strong proponent of fostering closer relationships between the worlds of technology, economics, finance and social policy and speaks regularly on the themes of infrastructure investment and digital value chains.
