Email Shows Tesla May Update Model Y at The Battery Day

Today I received a letter from a Twitter friend, which indicates that there may be a Battery Day update or upgrade to Tesla Model Y because of a mysterious cut off date for a certain timeframe of deliveries.

A Twitter user @axel718 was in New York yesterday test-driving a Model Y. He says after a test drive in NY, USA "I was told that there is a factory cut off date and very delayed delivery if ordered after 9/7? Maybe this confirms battery day update to model Y!"

I replied and asked Axel do you have any other ideas? Maybe you can send me a few paragraphs of what you think about this?

He responded writing, "I think this guarantees battery day will include some announcement to tesla model y and 3. Why would there be a 3-month delay if I don't order by 9/7? It must be due to battery upgrades"

After that, I asked him, "Do you think there will be a battery upgrade with a new long-range battery? In that case why such a long 3-month delay?"

He replied writing, "I don't have an opinion of the type of upgrade but I think it makes sense that if they were planning on making upgrades, they would not want to have inventory from the old battery model y so they will cut off deliveries and delay in order to get all new orders the latest battery with the upgrade."

What are your thoughts friends? Do you think based on this info Tesla may have a new updated Model Y or Model 3 announced at the upcoming Battery Day?
