The latest on Erling Haaland's future after the Chelsea target's agent meets with Barcelona and Real Madrid for talks

Representatives of Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland are set to continue their transfer talk roadshow with four Premier League clubs.

The Chelsea target's agent and father were both spotted in Spain earlier today ahead of proposed meetings with the La Liga giants.

It looked to have provided an early hint about Haaland's preferred destination, as speculation regarding a summer move from the Bundesliga side continues to gather pace.

However, as per Mundo Deportivo, agent Mino Raiola and Alf Inge Haaland - the former City and Leeds United midfielder - are expected to fly in to the UK tomorrow morning.

As part of that trip, Haaland's representatives are due to meet with those responsible for transfer deals at Chelsea, Liverpool and both Manchester clubs.

Ahead of what is sure to be one of the most high-profile transfer sagas of the summer, it's thought that Dortmund might be forced to cash-in on the Norway sensation earlier than anticipated.

Haaland, who has emerged as one of the hottest properties in European football, with 49 goals in 49 games since a move from RB Salzburg last January, has a release clause that becomes active next season.

However, at the risk of losing him for £65million at that stage, the German side are now bracing themselves for a heavy-handed approach from several elite European clubs during the summer transfer window.

It comes amid financial complications brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic.

A fee exceeding nine figures has been suggested, although the usually big-spending Spanish clubs - Barcelona and Real - are not currently in their best financial health, either.

In turn, that could open the door for Premier League clubs to come calling.

Manchester United are reported to have made Haaland their number one transfer target, while their city rivals and champions elect Manchester City are gearing up for life after record goalscorer Sergio Aguero - who is set to leave the Etihad Stadium after ten years.

Chelsea are too expected to prioritise a new focal point for their attack, despite shelling out £45million for German striker Timo Werner ahead of the 2020/2021 season.

That's all for now from Stamford Bridge.
