A group of anti-homophobia activists rallied in solidarity with Tbilisi Pride, as well as Georgian media, outside of the country's embassy in Berlin.

Participants could be seen holding Georgian flags next to rainbow flags, as well as banners reading calling for an end to homophobia.

The demonstration follows an attack by Georgian ultra-nationalists on a Pride headquarters in Tbilisi, on Monday, in which 50 journalists were attacked, and one Polish tourist was reportedly hospitalised after being stabbed.

Later that day, the US, UK, EU and a number of other diplomatic missions made a joint statement, calling on Georgian authorities to protect freedom of expression and publicly condemn violence within the country.
