Police in the east German city of Chemnitz prevented a group of COVID sceptics from holding a protest against social restrictions aimed at curbing community spread of coronavirus on Saturday.

Footage shows scuffles between officers and some demonstrators.

A number of people were detained as the rally was banned by the local authorities.
