Tens of thousands of LGBTQ+ supporters streamed through the streets of Berlin on Saturday to celebrate the 43rd edition of Christopher Street Day.

According to the latest estimates, the CSD event attracted around 65,000 attendees. People marched through the streets to the thumping bass of techno music, parading various costumes while waving the iconic rainbow flag.

"We have the unicorn as a costume because everyone is unique, every human being is a unique person, and it is necessary to fight for their human rights and civil rights in society," commented a demonstrator.

In the light of Hungary's move to ban LGBTQ+ content which 'promotes' homosexuality and gender change in schools, some protesters held placards with Hungarian Prime Ministers Viktor Orban covered in makeup reading, 'LGBTQIA+ rights are human rights. Human rights are not up for debate.'

SOT, Pup Scout, Demonstrator (German): "Why we have masks? It is out personal fetish or sub which is connected to various BDSM movements, and yes, everyone is warmly welcome here, there is no discrimination, we are all equal but nevertheless different and colourful, and we want to present this here on CSD."
