Finally after 1 long year of break due to travel restrictions and covid scare, I completed a trip to Germany in March 2021. Germany is still not open for leisure travel. Only business travel with special requirements are allowed.

I spent almost 4 weeks in the beautiful city of Karlsruhe near north Black Forest. The limited time and covid restrictions made exploration of the city difficult as most establishments are closed. I explored the nearby trails of Black Forest. Geroldsauer Waterfall is an amazing day hike from here. Germany is the land of hiking with myriad trails to explore. Also with spring the flowering magnolia and other plants made it a delight.

Had a plan to do another hike but due to excess snow higher in the Black Forest it was not possible. None the less, the area is beautiful and one can easily spend months exploring the region.
