Well, the minds of Alexander, Julia, Alessandro, Krystyna, Alexander and Paolo formed the Positive Thinking Company SAS Hackers team during the 2021 SAS Hackathon.
Their idea was to find a way to optimize vaccine distribution. Based on the data gathered during the pandemic, and being all Data Scientists, they obviously had in mind a strategy based on AI.
Through Reinforcement Learning they simulated a Covid environment and trained an AI for Germany.
Spoiler alert: The AI found its way to distribute the vaccine doses!
