CPT Taccarra Linson was born in Detroit, Michigan but raised all over due to her mother being in the military. Upon graduating with her Bachelor’s of Art degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, CPT Linson enlisted in the Army in May 2005. Her first assignment was as a medic with 55th Military Police in Camp Casey, Korea. In August 2010 she was accepted to participate in the AMEDD Enlisted Commissioning Program (AECP) to go back to school to become a registered nurse. She attended the University of Maryland-Baltimore and commissioned in March 2013. After graduating from Basic Officer Leader Course, CPT Linson worked as a medical-surgical nurse at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center (DDEAMC) on the telemetry ward. It was at DDEAMC that CPT Linson shadowed the public health nursing field and ultimately chose that as her specialty.

As a public health nurse at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (LRMC) in Germany, CPT Linson spearheaded the annual Influenza Campaign for the LRMC Footprint and developed collaborative plans in a joint operation with the Air Force Public Health and other surrounding units to execute influenza vaccination for over 7,850 military members and over 9,000 Department of Defense Civilians, beneficiaries and Local Nationals. CPT Linson was also directly involved in the preparation and management of the COVID-19 pandemic for LRMC. She wrote and established protocols for clinics, quarantine procedures, and worked closely with Air Force counterparts and German public health authorities.

CPT Linson’s military education includes the AMEDD Basic Officer Leadership Course, Principles of Military Preventive Medicine Course (6A-F5), and Public Health Emergency Management Course. Her awards and decorations include Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (4th award), Army Achievement Medal (4th award), and Outstanding Volunteerism Service Medal.

CPT Linson is currently assigned to the 5th Medical Recruiting Battalion – Houston Station as a Healthcare Recruiter and has been married to her husband, David, for eight years.
