A demonstration in support of the refugees of Lesbos Moria’s camp to demand their urgent evacuation takes place in Berlin on Wednesday, September 9, as thousands were forced to flee the camp after a major fire earlier that day.

The Moria camp is the largest in Europe, exceeding almost four times its maximum capacity of 3,100 people, hosting around 13,000 migrants living in poor sanitary conditions.

The camp was placed under quarantine last week after the first COVID-19 case appeared at the overcrowded camp.
