Chancellor Angela Merkel is set to address the German Parliament in Berlin on Thursday, March 25, ahead of the European Council meeting.
EU leaders will be holding a video conference on Thursday and Friday to discuss a possible ban on COVID vaccines exports.
Merkel's new address comes a day after a speech in front of MPs, during which she admitted that the plan for a strict Easter lockdown, announced only in the beginning of the week, was a "mistake".
