STG Webinar on the Covid19 crisis and the the role of the European Council

On 1 July 2020, the EUI School of Transnational Governance (STG) organised a webinar on "The Covid19 Crisis and the Financial Challenges for Europe: Discussing the Role of the European Council".

The panel addressed the following issues:
- How has the institution of the political leaders dealt with an unprecedented event such as the Covid-19 crisis;
- Are the European Council conclusions enough to deal with the crisis? What are financial lessons we can take from the negotiations at the top level?
- What are the major lines of conflict among the member-states of the European Union?
- What do we expect in the upcoming months and, especially, from the German EU Council Presidency?
