With support from the Federal Republic of Germany through the KFW Development bank, and the Swedish international development cooperation agency (Sida), UNICEF delivered 310 oxygen cylinders to ZAMMSA in Lusaka on 24 March 2021 as part of support to the COVID-19 response in Zambia. 260 of the cylinders were funded by Germany/KFW, and 50 by Sida. The support is in addition to 310 oxygen concentrators handed over to the Ministry of Health last year, and work to rehabilitate oxygen plants at hospitals in Lusaka (UTHs Children's Hospital), Mansa and Mongu.
