First ride since Covid-19 Lockdown! Quite a few small changes after my first ever ride resulted in the chain coming off (see last upload). Better chain guard, front drum brake lever extension to try give a bit more power, bigger pilot jet as it was a bit lean in the middle and stiffened the very soft front forks (running 10psi here)
The bike ran really well - unlike the very rusty and semi retired rider on board! This was my second session so still learning the track. I wasn't confident initially and its noticeable on any rut or bigger jump but by the 4th session I was flowing and getting a good pace
I did accidentally try braking thinking I was on a modern bike and clipped a rider who stalled on a corner (sorry if you see this!) and had some cracking power wheelies from the big open class 2 stroke down the back straight!
Bike is a 1981 Maico 490cc air cooled 2 stroke which had been unridden for 15-20 years prior to this year
