The start of Covid-19 national lockdown in March 2020 saw an increase in demand for shelter by the most vulnerable and homeless community found in the inner cities of Johannesburg, Kempton Park, Qheberha, and Cape Town. Many individuals lost their jobs as companies shut down.

Through the help of our new and existing donors, including individual volunteers, MES has been able to accommodate hundreds and provided food relief to families, youth, and adults at risk focus groups with nearly 500 000 meals in the lockdown period.

You too can help us protect the destitute amid the Covid-19 pandemic and partner with MES to start changing a heart in the city. Visit our website at www.mes.org.za. You can also call on 011 725 6531 or email [email protected].
