About 21.9% of Qatar's population or one in five adults, have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine. 740,309 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered since the beginning of the COVID-19 vaccination programme. With as many as 145,696 vaccine doses administered within the last seven days alone.
Minimum wage law will benefit workers and their families says the ambassador of Qatar to Germany
The minimum wage law will directly benefit more than 400,000 workers and their families abroad, making Qatar the first country in the region to introduce a non-discriminatory minimum wage, as part of a series of historic reforms to the countries Labour laws.
The envoy said the new law will apply to all workers of all nationalities and in all sectors including domestic workers.

Qatar Airways Holidays the leisure division of Qatar Airways Group has launched quarantine-free holiday packages to Athens and Mykonos. Qatari citizens and residents who have completed their COVID-19 vaccination will have the opportunity to travel safely and experience Greece’s splendid summer.
Qatar Airways Holidays offers three night packages with the option to extend and include daily breakfast, transfers, and local assistance for sightseeing and excursions.
Starting from May 14th until September the 30th quarantine-free holiday packages will be available from as little as 4,372 riyals per person.
Qatar’s weather today
The Met Office have put out a warning that there will be strong winds today.
Doha will see temperatures between 21 and 29 degrees. Elsewhere in the country it will be between 19 and 30 degrees.
Now today’s COVID update.
In the last 24-hour period, there have been 639 new cases of COVID-19 and 355 recoveries. There were no Covid related death. Which means there’s been an increase of 284 cases giving us a new current total of 14,580 active cases.
