Meet the Panelists
Gillian Foster Wilkinson is a Microfinance Learning & Support Manager at HOPE International, a microfinance network working in 20 countries around the world. She's most interested in the intersection of financial inclusion, learning, and the power of entrepreneurship to transform underserved communities. She brings a lens of adult learning and experience in financial services, especially to necessity entrepreneurs. As a member of the Christian Economic Development Network’s steering committee, Gillian is committed to collaboration beyond the borders of individual organizations. She holds bachelor’s degrees from Colorado Christian University and an M. Ed. in International Education policy from Harvard.
Adam Cole is the founder of Join the Journey (JTJ) and co-convener of this Impactathon. JTJ is a faith-based nonprofit focused on solving poverty in the developing world through economic empowerment. JTJ recently developed a mobile app, Spark, to connect donors and borrowers to microfinance $100 loans to entrepreneurs. JTJ has distributed thousands of pounds of food, school supplies, and toys, and has impacted hundreds of families through microloans to vulnerable populations in Peru, Haiti, Cameroon, Philippines, and Zambia.
