Biography:
Henrique Schneider is the deputy CEO of the Swiss federation of small and medium enterprises (sgv). In this position, he represents the largest umbrella organization of the Swiss economy in different working and expert groups, regulatory bodies as well as non-executive boards. Especially, he is a voting member in the Swiss Competition Commission. In addition, he is professor for economics at Nordakademie, University of Applied Sciences, in Elmshorn, Germany, and serves in different non executive boards in Switzerland and abroad, including at the United Nations-level.
Henrique is a frequent public speaker in Europe, Asia, and the US and writes regular opinion pieces in newspapers in Europe and Asia. His books include: “Introducing the Political Philosophy of Hanfei” (2018), “Creative Destruction and the Sharing Economy” (2017); “Uber: Innovation in Society” (2017)”. Presently, he is working on the economic effects of artificial intelligence and on productivity.
Henrique studied economics in Switzerland, Germany, China, the US, and Austria.
