Tesla Model Y Dual Motor Awd Roller Test note:
There is a minor change in our roller test with the Tesla Model Y Dual motor if we use or not the Off-Road assist feature, you will see more wheel spin and longer reaction time to get out of the rollers. It should be the opposite. Even if we use the Slip Start, the car will simply detect that the wheels are spinning and maximize traction. Just a smooth press of the accelerator will get you out of most situations, but if there is only one wheel with traction, full throttle is required! This is one of the smoother vehicles we have taken on rollers. Just press slowly on the accelerator and let the car work. It's really impressive! The scrubbing sound that you hear is caused by the Ev Mup Flaps ( a must if you want to protect your paint). They are incredibly resistant! Note that this Dual Motor AWD is similar to the Model 3, Model X and Model Y, but will react slightly differently due to different suspension configuration and algorithm! There is some video missing at the end of the opposite side. The kid removed the focus by accident. But you can here minor wheel slip even on the tarmac, but it got out.

Model Y is an all-electric, mid-size SUV designed for maximum versatility and safety. Model Y will start at $39,000 for the Standard Range version, and will also come in Long Range, Dual-Motor All-Wheel Drive, and Performance variants. Model Y is capable in rain, snow, mud, and off-road. Tesla All-Wheel Drive has two ultra-responsive, independent electric motors that digitally control torque to the front and rear wheels—for far better handling, traction, and stability control. Off-Road Assist is designed to provide overall improvements when driving off-road. In addition to allowing the wheels to spin, Off-Road Assist balances the torque between the front and rear motors to optimize traction. Off-Road Assist improves traction on rough and soft surfaces where one side of the vehicle may lose traction while the other side still has traction. When Off-Road Assist is on, the accelerator pedal provides more gradual torque, which is useful for crawling at low speeds (for example, over rocky surfaces). When enabled, OFF-ROAD displays on the touchscreen above the driving speed. There is no clear information on how Tesla AWD work; feel free to comments any information!
