Hi Folks, I learned this great song, "The Lowlands", from the singing of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and arranged it for fingerstyle guitar.

I started playing guitar when I was 14 years old and went a couple years later for the first time to the Osnabrücker Folkfestival in Germany. Acoustic live music was always my biggest passion and inspiration.

In 1981 I moved together with my girlfriend Gudrun to Grande Prairie in Northern Alberta, Canada, where I worked for 27 years at a local print shop. Here we raised our three children in a small farmhouse on 10 acres of Land.
Then in the springtime of 1995, I started organizing The Folk-Roots-Blues Music Series at the Grande Prairie Live Theatre, with great acoustic musicians from around the world - until Covid brought the whole music scene to a stop.

Let's send out some positive energies and hope the dilemma will be a thing of the past in the near future and live music and jamming with other musicians will start again!!
