The pandemic has not been discriminatory in its approach: universally hitting all sectors, all economies, hard, with sport not being an exception.

However, has Covid-19 exacerbated the gender gap between women’s elite sport and that of its male counterparts? What will be the aftermath of reducing the visibility of women’s sport to prioritise the return of the men’s more lucrative competition? Is this fair? Are we taking a massive step back when we finally return to the “new normal”, or will women’s sport bounce back to new heights? This is the challenge! How can we make it happen?!
