Pressure is mounting on Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who remains in office while fighting corruption charges, which he denies. In July, thousands of protestors demanded Netanyahu step down, angered also by the government's COVID-19 response. The economy has been hit hard, and cases have spiked in an apparent second wave.

Nir Barkat, an MP for Netanyahu's Likud Party and ally of the prime minister, said that the trial was happening "in parallel" and was "not an issue for us Israelis." He spoke to Conflict Zone host Tim Sebastian this week from Jerusalem. Watch the show and let us know what you think in the comments.
