Health inequalities and productivity across the UK

The pandemic has highlighted the extent of health inequality across the UK, while restrictions needed to control the spread have led to an increase in urban unemployment. Fixing the UK’s productivity problem will, meanwhile, be central to delivering the Government’s ambition of ‘levelling up’.

This event examined the links between productivity, people’s health and their access to the labour market – and the role for local government in joining up policy to help get people back to work.
