Please help us support our favourite charity in Namibia!!

COVID-19 CHAOS is the only reason most charities and conservation projects are suffering, as ‘tourism’ disappears due to this lockdown which means ‘no more donations’.

Each one of us spent a year volunteering at AfriCat and those 365 days, changed our lives forever – now, WE want to help this incredible team as they are trying hard to save the HOME OF AFRICAT during these trying times – but their livelihood has also been affected as Okonjima covered their daily costs, housed each team member and paid their salaries. Okonjima’s income was tourism – most coming from Germany! Of the 9 team members that ran this charity, only 4 have stayed on to keep the wheels turning. . .

Meet AfriCat's valuable team members; Dr Diethardt Rodenwoldt, Dr Sarah Edwards, Louis Hyens and Andries !Garab

“Its been a tough few months - but without our team-players - AfriCat cannot survive.
Up until end February - Okonjima took care of our hidden costs like salaries and electricity and road maintenance and fuel to mention only a few of the essential services a charity needs to survive and thrive!
Since this virus has turned our lives upsidedown - all fundraising for now will not be used for projects - but for those unique individuals that take care of our animals and who research the endangered species and protect their home - the 20 000 ha Nature Reserve . .
Usually, all these costs are funded by tourism that has sadly been absent since the 2nd week of March 2020.

This team needs your support to carry on what they are doing and to help save a conservation project that was founded in 1992”

Thank you so much
