As we mentioned before, Germany has an amazing volunteer programme that kickstarts motivation, teaches valuable life skills, and opens doors to future opportunities.

Over the years, a few enthusiastic scholars chose the AfriCat Foundation www.africat.org . . . spent a year with us, and the Okonjima Nature Reserve and the work AfriCat does, changed their lives – for good. When the covid-19 pandemic spiraled out of control – the programme came to an abrupt end and all volunteers had to fly back home.

Volunteering their time in Africa to support a cause they are passionate about, is something they know has enriched their lives forever. So, during these difficult times – they decided to group together to help the very Foundation that changed their lives - and to give back to the project that makes a difference.

In this video clip – Dr Rodenwoldt thanks all who have supported this programme and ensures everyone that the works will continue under his watchful eye, even though many of the team have had to find other work to survive. . . .
