Together with local partners, such as arte.complus GmbH, we support the Night of Light campaign and will switch on the red light today, June 22 at 10 PM German time to draw attention to the dramatic situation in our industry.

Since March 10, 2020, an entire industry has effectively been deprived of its basis for work. Any major events are prohibited due to the COVID-19 crisis. Business events, conferences, congresses, concerts, festivals or theatre performances — wherever people come together to experience performances together or to exchange views on relevant topics, events may only be carried out under extensive, official regulations.

Even trade fairs and small events, which are currently permitted again, are currently subject to very strict hygiene regulations. This means that events as a whole are currently no longer economically viable.

The colour red is intended to express the following:

- The business event industry is on the 'red list' of industries that are dying out.
- A market worth billions and hundreds of thousands of jobs are at risk.
- The industry is a community and has the common goal of an industry dialogue with the political community.
- A fiery appeal to the public.
- The color red stands for the passion for the profession.
