Meuterei bar eviction in Berlin

On March 25th, the left-wing bar, Meuterei (Mutiny) which is situated in the Kreuzberg district of Berlin was evicted by a police force of over 1000 officers and the creation of a security zone around the neighbourhood the bar was situated in.

In response to the eviction, a "TAG X" demo was called for that evening and around 2000 people marched through the Mitte district of the city to express their anger.

In what is deemed to be the biggest wave of evictions since the 1990's, Meuterei is just one of the many place that has been evicted in the past year.
