Mathias Eller from the Institute for Federalism in Innsbruck/Austria is talking about the role of federalism in coping with the COVID-19-crisis in Austria. Mathias Eller studied law and business law and was awarded the Prize for Federalism and Regional Research 2019 and the Franz Gschnitzer Prize 2019 for his doctoral thesis "Multi-Level Federalism in Austria". He is intensively engaged in the scientific research of federalism and its advantages. In doing so, he focuses primarily, but not exclusively, on the regional and sub-regional level.
