Realistic real world range test for the 2021 Tesla model 3 long range in the UK. This was a chance to asses how a typical 2 day family trip under the conditions of the time would effect the 100% range. There were many variables at play, 2 adults+1 child in the car. Cold weather between 6-12C. Lots of motorway 70Mph. Lots of stop start traffic. 2 long legs and 6 shorts legs in the area. 1 Night stop with Sentry mode active.
I kept it as normal as possible as if we were in our petrol car. Kept to speed limits, used climate 50% of the the time. Driving was average everyday style, not aggressive not conservative. I think a decent minimal baseline range was obtained for future planning.

Ultimately range is not an issue whatsoever as the tesla supercharger network is fantastic and the sat nav will not let you run out of range on long trips, it will route you via one. This was purely for geeky interest.
