Like last night’s singer, Jessica Aszodi was also a member of the cast of 'Oscar and Lucinda' singing the title role of Lucinda opposite Brenton Spiteri as Oscar who performed 'Ouvre tes yeux bleus’ for An Aria A Day on 11 May.

From her living room in Berlin, Jessica Aszodi brings us Strauss' powerful Komponist's aria, 'Sein wir wieder gut' celebrating the power of music – an art form that has the power to bring us much joy during these uncertain times.

Jessica is joined by fellow Australian Daniel Carter who is the current Kapellmeister at the Deutsche Oper Berlin and General Director of the Landestheater Coburg.

Since the start of Covid-19 restrictions, we have been busy behind the scenes working with opera artists and musicians around the world to bring you a daily dose of opera in your home.

Filmed in the backyards, bathrooms, kitchens and living rooms of artists across the globe, #AnAriaADay offers you a front row seat from your home to some of the greatest arias of all time.

We release a new aria every day at 6pm, celebrating the diversity and power of opera and demonstrates the strength and resilience of Australia’s artistic community. All the artists performing in #AnAriaADay are remunerated for their work, providing connection to their art form and income during these difficult times.
