Mumbai, June 2020: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) in joint collaboration with Don Bosco Mission Bonn (Germany) helped more than 500 physically differently abled and transgender by distributing relief kits containing ration and toiletries. Along with relief operations; short awareness sessions were also conducted in small batches. A total number of 4500 poor and needy will be helped in Mumbai and Pune through this joint collaboration.
Fr Rolvin D’Mello (Executive Director – DBDS) along with the staff and volunteers executed this task. Speaking on the occasion he thanked Don Bosco Mission Bonn for the financial support. Social distancing and other government compliances were strictly adhered to during this entire process. Since most of the physically differently abled could not personally make it to Don Bosco Campus; their family members collected the relief kits on their behalf.
Since April 2020 DBDS has DIRECTLY touched the lives of more than 1,25,000 poor and needy – providing for their basic needs during this challenging time of Covid-19 pandemic.
