Germany: Hundreds march through Berlin in support of Palestine

Hundreds marched peacefully through Berlin's Kreuzberg district to show their solidarity with Palestine and to protest against the media coverage of the latest Israel-Palestine conflict.

The protest, which had originally been registered as a demonstration "against Israeli aggression in Palestine,' was then registered with 400 participants as 'welcoming the ceasefire,' according to the police.

The march was accompanied by dozens of police. No incidents were reported.

Prior to the ceasefire that was announced on Friday, Israeli airstrikes have killed over 240, including 65 children and rockets fired from the Gaza Strip killed 12 people in Israel, according to the respective authorities.
